My Favorite Vintage Cross Colours Jorts!

If you asked me today what my absolute favorite piece in the showroom is, it would undoubtedly be these beautiful color-blocked striped jorts by Cross Colours. This nostalgic piece is one I love to bring to pop-ups. I often hear reactions like, "Wow, I haven't seen that in a kid's size!" or "Wow, that's so dope" 

Cross Colours was launched in 1989 by Carl Jones and TJ Walker. Their bold designs, known for their oversized fits, were brought to life with a focus on social commentary advocating for unity and equality. The brand became a cultural phenomenon. First off, when I found these amazing jorts in the wild I documented it immediately and I texted my older brother Chris a photo of them, he was someone I looked up to and strongly influenced my liking to hip hop, RnB, and fashion in the 90's.  The stripes and the colors just immediately bring me back to the TLC days, but everyone in the hip hop community was rockin' Cross Cololurs,  2Pac, Marky Mark, Will Smith just to name a few. Today oversized jorts are IT!  They absolutely aren't everyones cup of tea but with the crazed trend of jorts on both male and females this pair is gold gold gold. 

The brand Cross Colours had a good run up until 1996, when they then filed for bankruptcy. However, due to the growing interest in their vintage pieces, (right now the boom for reselling 90's garments is just continuing to grow) TJ and Carl made a comeback in 2014. I lurked the official Cross Colours website : https://crosscolours.com/ and I will say I do fancy some of the clothing but nothing comes quite close to the OG pieces in the 90's.  Anyone else find any TLC Cross Colours in a toddler size, if so hit me up please!
